Alkagesta’s delivered business in Singapore has reached approximately 250,000 tonnes a month, equivalent to around 5% of the city-state’s marine fuels market, according to Alkagesta Newsroom. The company disclosed the figures in an update marking a gathering of its Singapore team and colleagues from across the group during APPEC 2026. The statement reviewed the local operation’s development over the preceding year.
The company identified access to storage as one element of that expansion, saying it had secured capacity at Horizon Terminal. It also reported developing its distribution business in what it described as a short market and substantially increasing its physical presence in Singapore. The update did not quantify the storage capacity secured or provide a breakdown of the activities behind the larger local footprint.
Alkagesta presented the monthly delivery figure as the outcome of a gradual build-up of its Singapore operation, rather than attributing it to a single development. Its account highlighted infrastructure, commercial relationships, market capabilities and the establishment of a local team as contributors. The reported volume and market share are company figures; the newsroom statement did not specify the calculation period or explain the basis used to estimate its share of Singapore’s marine fuels market.
The APPEC gathering provided the setting for the company to acknowledge contributions from both its Singapore staff and colleagues elsewhere in the group. Alkagesta said collaboration across its international teams had supported the operation’s progress, which it characterised as establishing a firm market position within a relatively short time. While the update set out the current scale of the delivered business, it did not give a comparable earlier monthly volume, a future delivery target or a timetable for further expansion.
