Alkagesta took part in the International Petroleum and Natural Gas Enterprises Conference (IPEC) 2026 in Zhoushan, linking its attendance to the development of its China business and wider petroleum products and biofuels activities. According to Alkagesta Newsroom, the company was represented by Bayram Bayramli, its China Business Developer, at the event in Zhejiang Province.

The annual conference, hosted at the Zhoushan International Conference Center, brings together businesses involved in oil, gas and bulk commodities alongside port operators, bunker suppliers and trading houses. Participants come from Asia, the Middle East and Europe, the company’s account said. The gathering combines forums and industry presentations with opportunities for business matchmaking and project signings.

IPEC is organised under the auspices of the Zhejiang Provincial Government and the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone. Alkagesta Newsroom described it as the principal promotional platform for Zhoushan’s oil and gas industrial chain. That remit places the conference’s commercial meetings alongside presentations covering the industries and infrastructure represented at the gathering.

For Alkagesta, the relevance of Zhoushan extends to the city’s growing bonded fuel supply base and its initial development of biofuel and methanol bunkering. The company linked those activities to the expansion of its Geneva biofuels desk and the product tanker market exposure of its chartering function. Its account presented these connections as part of the rationale for attending the conference, alongside the continuing development of its China business line.

Alkagesta also said direct contact with Chinese refiners, storage operators and bunker suppliers supports its sourcing of marine fuel cargoes for East Asian ports. It framed that engagement as supporting its position in a bunkering market it described as among the world’s fastest-growing. The announcement focused on participation and commercial alignment rather than detailing any cargo purchases, supply agreements or project signings by Alkagesta.
