How The Crude Register handles errors: how to report one, how quickly we respond, and how corrections are marked on the page.
Reporting an error
Email corrections@example.com with the headline, the URL and the specific error. We acknowledge every request.
What we do
- Material factual errors are corrected and the article carries a dated note.
- An updated timestamp appears on every story we revise after publication.
- Typographical fixes that do not change meaning are made silently.
- Stories are not quietly deleted. If an item must be withdrawn, the page explains why.
Right of reply
Any company or individual named in a story may request a response be added. We publish substantive replies alongside the original reporting.
