Alkagesta took part in the second Annual Central Asia Oil & Gas Forum in Tashkent on 15-16 October, represented by its CIS Regional Trader, Javid Guliyev, according to Alkagesta Newsroom. The company’s account described a two-day gathering of energy industry leaders, policymakers and investors focused on changes affecting the region’s energy markets.
The 2026 programme put regional energy cooperation and supply-chain optimisation at the centre of discussions. Topics included oil and gas reserves, production strategies, cross-border trading routes and logistics infrastructure. These subjects formed part of a wider agenda addressing Central Asia’s changing logistics and regulatory environment, alongside its role in global energy security, the company said in its account of the forum.
Refining capacity and market access were also on the programme, bringing downstream issues into discussions that covered both production and the movement of energy supplies across borders. Other sessions addressed investment, risk management and the development of public-private partnerships across Central Asia. The agenda therefore extended from the region’s resource base to the infrastructure, commercial access and investment arrangements relevant to its energy markets.
Alkagesta Newsroom presented shifting trade corridors and Central Asia’s expanding place in global supply chains as important context for the event. It described the forum as an opportunity to discuss the region’s prospects and challenges as those changes develop. The account focused on the scope of the programme and Alkagesta’s attendance, rather than detailing individual presentations or outcomes from the discussions.
For Alkagesta, participation reflected Central Asia’s strategic importance within its broader regional business, the company said. It cited an active presence in CIS markets and a petroleum-products trading platform operating across approximately 48 countries. Guliyev represented the company throughout the programme, linking its attendance to that existing regional trading presence.
