Alkagesta expanded into crude oil trading in the first half of 2026, executing two Suezmax cargoes while developing its jet fuel and marine fuels distribution businesses, according to Alkagesta Newsroom. The company announced the developments on 14 August in a summary accompanying its first-half performance update and full-year 2025 annual report. It described the crude transactions as a measured expansion into a new business line.
The newsroom summary did not identify the crude grades, cargo origins or destinations, or give transaction values. Its account focused instead on the addition of crude trading to the group’s commodities activities during the period. The two Suezmax cargoes were the only crude transactions specifically cited in the announcement, which covered commercial activity, strategic developments and operational progress across the portfolio.
In refined products, Alkagesta said it had begun deliveries into the European jet fuel market as it advanced its Jet A1 distribution platform. The company linked that progress to approval from a NATO agency and access to NATO pipeline infrastructure. Jet distribution activity increased during the first half, although the summary provided no delivery volumes or details of the European markets supplied.
Singapore marine fuels distribution also grew, with Alkagesta reporting an established sales pace of approximately 200,000–250,000 tonnes a month. The company said the expansion strengthened its position in the regional marine fuels market. Across its wider energy and fuels portfolio, it reported supplying transport, marine, aviation and utility customers in Europe and Asia, presenting those activities as support for supply security in its main markets.
Alkagesta characterised the first half as a period of sharp volatility and disrupted supply chains caused by geopolitical tensions across energy and agricultural markets. It attributed continued product availability to its sourcing, logistics and risk-management practices. Beyond energy, the group said it continued procuring and delivering fertilisers despite sustained market pressure, helping maintain agricultural supply chains. These operational assessments were company statements published by Alkagesta Newsroom.
